To provide excellent emergency medical care and transport to the residents and visitors in the Port Matilda area using well trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Emergency Medical Responders (EMR), and other providers.
What We Do
Port Matilda EMS is a non-profit volunteer and career organization that provides Basic Life Support (BLS) emergency medical services to Port Matilda Borough, Halfmoon, Huston, Taylor, and Worth Townships, a section of Ferguson Township, and surrounding secondary coverage areas.
PMEMS has two fully equipped ambulances ready to respond to emergencies on a manpower available basis. The station, on High Street in the Port Matilda Borough, is located centrally within the primary coverage area. There is a crew on station twelve hours a day, with the remaining twelve hours covered by employees and by volunteers who respond from home.
